Hi im having a strange issue with the Dolphin Emulator in regards to controller input

im currently using a PS2 wired controller and playing NASCAR 05 chase for the cup sometimes theres a slight fps stutter and the controller will not respond for a split second while cornering so the car veers off track

I have tried various controllers all with the same issue and tried eliminating the stutter but lowering the resolution ect also i have tried many versions of dolphin but I just cannot find a fix the only controller I have no tried is the gamecube one would this make a difference?

any help would be appreciated thanks
To be clear, this lack of control happens when the game stutters, yes?

Does this happen in the latest dev build of Dolphin?
It sounds like something else on the computer is querying for USB devices and that's causing dolphin to temporarily lose control of the controller. You could try unplugging non-essential devices and stopping certain services (bluetooth headset drivers in particular tend to be jackasses about this.)
