Dear Dolphins Forums Team

I hope the threads/messages show up instantly after being posted. I do understand that the forum rules must be followed. However, the forum would provide better user experience and would be more motivating to post if the message/thread goes for approval when it contains certain words, such as "BIOS", or "backups" etc. This will be much user-friendly compared to constantly waiting for the approval delay. I do believe that the dolphin's forum plays a vital role in dolphin development process. For that being said, I urge the team to take into consideration the importance of simplifying the forum experience.

Kind regards
There is no delay.
Hi, forum staff here! The Dolphin Forums have been targeted by a human spammer, for whatever reason. All of our spam bot prevention techniques are useless against a human, and the effort required to moderate spam here has grown exponentially in the past month because of them. We nearly reached the point where 50% of all new members were spam accounts! So we are experimenting with MyBB's approval system for newly joined members. The delay you are seeing is because a human moderator has to see your post and give it the go ahead. Don't worry, you'll graduate out of the approval system once you clear a certain number of posts.

MyBB does not have any means of scanning the content of posts for approval or disapproval. If it did, we'd just require approval on all posts that have URLs and call it a day! But we can't do that, so you'll need to deal with a little delay for the time being. We typically handle approvals in under an hour, so it's not a long wait.
I don't recall ever experiencing a delay here.

If you do not have the same comment as shown in the attached image then probably you do not face the same delay.

Thanks for your clarification. Back in 2010, when I tried dolphin emulator 2.0, it was so bad that I thought that it would not succeed then decided to purchase a GameCube. Great job guys Heart

I don't see an attached image, but that's happened before so I'm not sure if it's just me.

The manual post approval system was activated sometime ago and targets all new users. Eventually those users will be "graduated" and then they'll be able to post without delays.

Also, moved to site feedback...
I saw that yeah, spam messages, I thought they were from bots though. We had to do this as well on another forum a while back already because of some malicious users...

Question though: Do you approve users automatically after a certain number of messages or is it manually done?
I think we'd rather not go into the specifics on how this works Wink
