I recently bought a phone that i thought could handle dolphin, I go the Razer Phone 2. However when I try to play anything it dies. Paper Mario doesn't get past the little boat opening scene right when the game is about to start it crashes, Wind Waker has such low FPS its worthless it is so laggy.
If you could give me some troubleshoot help or ideas on what I am doing wrong that would be awesome!
I can send screenshots of settings or whatever if someone who has it running on a android device could give me a little help.
Its a super cool phone, highly recommend it. I would recommend it more if it could run Dolphin too!
Can u download cpu z and post a screenshot with system specifics and cpu too?please

I think this is what you were looking for
Paper Mario uses bounding box during the boat flip and some other sections, if the drivers of your device doesn't support SSBO the game will always crash when those effects are used.

Do you have a work around? I didnt know about that. Is it a setting I can adjust for, or skip somehow?

It does actually work even if the drivers don't support SSBO, since Dolphin's OpenGL backend has a fallback implementation that doesn't require SSBO. This is the case on macOS, for instance. But regardless, bounding box emulation is broken on (almost?) all phones for some reason, so don't get your hopes up on playing Paper Mario.

What games are running on Android? I thought this phone would be able to handle most but wind waker is a FPS nightmare and since I can't get by that issue on paper Mario it won't work for now I guess.
I have a few others I haven't tried yet...
Wind Waker probably runs so poorly becaues of the CPU governor. If you root your phone, override the governor to force the phone into high performance, and then run Wind Waker, it should run okay. Otherwise, as a stopgap to increase performance, long press Wind Waker, head into graphics settings, and try "checking" Store EFB Copies to Texture Only in that menu.

Thanks JMC47 I'll try that.
