Hi, I am running Dolphin build 5.0.8987 on my GPD XD+.
As I experienced rather slow frame speed when running The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker, I thought the performance could be better if I change the video backend from opengl to vulkan.
However, after I saved the settings and tried to running the game, Dolphin reported "Dolphin emulator stopped working" and asked me to relaunch the application.
Is this a bug or there are some other configurations that I need to to?
Thanks

I don't think your GPU supports Vulkan, it requires an AMD 7xxx or higher afaict.

It actually spuuorts Vulkan, please see
https://www.gpd.hk/gpdxdplus and I think it has nothing to do with AMD..

Moved to Android!
Hmm, it could be buggy Vulkan drivers in your mediatek gpu. Do you have any issues with Vulkan in the PPSSPP emu?
Unfortunately, the 1.6 branch drivers shipping with the gpdxd+ are kinda based on an early, prerelease version of the vulkan spec. It's unlikely dolphin will bother working around this, and you'll just have to wait for an update graphics driver.
While a android 8.1 update exists for the chipset, I don’t know if GPD ever bothers to update their devices.

PPSSPP can use Vulkan drivers on GPD XD+. However, I can see no performance improvement than using OpenGL, sometimes it even runs slower.

I seriously doubt that as they never upgrade the GPD XD from Android 4.x to higher versions.
