I'm not sure if this is a common issue, but I've been having serious frame rate issues with Zelda Twilight Princess for the Wii. I can't get above 14 or 15 frames per second in most areas, making the game pretty much unplayable.
I am having sound issues with music not playing, but I could care less about that and more about the gameplay, for now.

I'm running:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16 GHz
Nvidia 9800 GTX+
4 Gb DDR2 RAM

My settings are attached.

If there's any more information needed, let me know. I appreciate any help in advance.

Use D3D9 graphic plugin and activate Zelda TP bloom hack.

Thank you very much this doubled the framerate. I still see a few hiccups here and there, but overall its a great improvement in performance. If anyone else has suggestions to further improve the gameplay, I'm all ears.
always use "use EFB to gl texture (hack)" and don't set the frame limit to auto, use 60. and i don't think you need the "save texture cache" enabled, it will glitch some things.

And for me openGL works better than d3d, plus u can use AA, i don't suggest more than x2 cause it will lag like hell if more.
I can't seem to find the Zelda TP Bloom Hack in the D3D9 options. I'm having the issues with the bloom effect now, and its quite annoying. Can anyone provide any more help on this? Thanks in advance.
there is none in d3d, the d3d plugin is still in its early stages. no AA either.

Bloom hack works in D3D , right click in the game , properties and select The bloom hack in "hacks" section

Early stage? , That plugins exists since dolphin creation. Another thing is that the AA i disabled or broken , but it was there

Wrong. You can activate the bloom hack on D3D. You have to select the game. right click, properties and there you can select hacks.

Sorry for my english.

Oehr

i also have a strange issue with zelda tp. its running at 100% and 30fps pretty stable and smooth(d3d only). Resolution is 1920x1200(16:9 with black bars fullscreen) with r4635 x64 on win7.
checked: dual core, idle skipping, HLE the IPL, JIT Recompiler, Optimize Quantizers, DSP on thread, Use Panic Handlers, 16:9 aspect ratio, English)

Take a look at what it looks like with d3d:
http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/8745/d3d.png
(checked: fullscreen, vsync, 16:9, 1920x1200, 16xQ CSAA, Enable CPU ->EFB access, Enable 16x AF, EFB Copy to RAM enabled)

the same pic rendered with the ogl plugin:
http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/5207/ogl.png
(checked: Fullscreen, 1920x1200, 16:9, Auto scale, 16x AF, 16xQ CSAA, no pp shaders, EFB Copy to system RAM, no hacks)

it looks as if its the native resolution stretched to fill the picture. I also tried countless other resolutions and made sure that "Use Real XFB" and "Native Resolution" aren't checked.

i checked the gc counterpart thread, but only found this: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-21-post-39033.html#pid39033
only works for the gc version, as the picture isn't mirrored for the wii anymore (not playable, using real wiimote).
The same edgy issue is with luigi's mansion, but the Bleach Versus Crusade hack causes a black screen there...

fix available (yet)?

system:
E6600 @ 2x 3.5GHz
9600 GT (latest driver 195.62)
4GB DDR2 Ram

P.S. AA doesnt seem to work for TP using the d3d plugin... strange...
AA i disabled or broken ( since long revs ago )

I didn't understand , what was the problem ?
