Full Version: NetPlay Host Input Authority Automatic Catch-Up?

Hey,

I've been testing out NetPlay with Host Input Authority and it's working beautifully. However, when my game de-syncs from the host, Dolphin doesn't automatically speed the game up to the host's state; I have to manually hold my key for Disable Emulation Speed Limit to catch up. In the official explanation video I'm pretty sure it says the catch up is supposed to be done by Dolphin automatically, but I can't figure out how to activate that. Nowhere in the settings could I find this.

Any insight would be wonderful.

Thanks.
It's supposed to automatically catch up, if it's not, it could be due to your computer's vsync.

I'll look into that the next time I play, and will update this reply.
If you have vsync enabled, apparently that causes an issue with the catch up. techjar opened a pull request a few hours ago, you might try that to see if it helps https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/7398

Yep, just tried it without V-sync and it automatically gets caught up. Hopefully that fix gets implemented soon.
