Hi all,
Have been offered a cheap, new, overclocked build based around an i3-7350k. It's a mini itx build and would be used mainly for the living room and emulation, primarily Dolphin. It seems it's more than ample, especially as it seems to be easily clocked to the 4.8-5.0ghz mark. However, reading around it seems some people often recommend other cpus over this so just wanted to get opinions. In my work build I run a 4.5ghz overclocked i7 2600k and it runs dolphin great, just wondered if the i3 could compete? I'm aware it wouldn't be that great for general gaming however.
Thanks in advance.
i3 should be faster, newer architecture and higher clocks speeds are more important than 4+ cores.

Effectively, that i3 has higher single thread performance. It will run Dolphin fine.
