MMU is a part of the GameCube that emulating fully is very, very expensive to do on the CPU. For a lot of games, you don't need full emulation of it so, to put it as simply as I can, the hard parts are skipped.

Rogue Squadron needs full MMU emulation to run. It'll run like absolute garbage on everything except the fastest Haswell-class or newer CPUs
Cheers, like I said that's quite bizarre then because rogue squadron doesn't run too badly!
That's not bizarre though, the JIT that runs on the GPDWIN2 supports some the MMU features Rogue Squadron II uses within the JIT where as the xperia has to drop down to interpreter, which is much slower.

In games where the MMU doesn't come into play, the two devices are on a more even playing ground.
Oh ok I just expected more strenuous games to be harder to run
