i don't think that all isos are corrupted...it is really strange. And i remember that year ago when i tried some games on my old pc, same isos file, they works correctly. My old pc wasn't able to run them with high resolution and high performance effects, but games ran correctly without freezes...

This is my complete configuration:

CPU:Intel 1150 i5-4690K M.B.:GIGABYTE Z97MX-Gaming5 VGA:Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4.0GB G1 GAMING RAM:ARES 2x4GB DDR3-2133 SDD:SAMSUNG 840 EVO 250GB HDD:SEAGATE 3.5" 3000GB ST3000DM001 Barraud Cooler:Thermalright HR-02 MACHO REV.B PSU:Thermaltake Paris 650W ATX 80+Gold O.S:WS 7 ULT.SP1 64BIT

I completely uninstalled graphic drivers and re-installed them. I have also downloaded the newest version of regular Dolphin but issue is still here. Probably now is worse than before! I noticed that freezes usually happens alsways in the same point/situations in every game.

And in addition there are graphical glithces sometimes...

It is really strange, for sure my pc is able to play these games without any issue...
If the game only uses certain textures a few times, then it might be the case.
Maybe try running the games on lower settings, like you did with your older PC.
ok, from the default value, I ONLY changed these settings in Dolphin:
CONFIG: nothing changed, i only entered the isos path
GRAPHIC --> General:
Backend: i tried both OPENGL, Direct3d11,Vulkan
Aspect Ratio: Auto
Use Fullscreen checked
Enhancements:
Internal Resolution: i tried both Native (640x528) and 3xNative for 1080p (i think that 3x is the right option because iìm using Doplhin on a 1080p monitor, are you agree?)
Anti-Aliasing: i tried None, 4xMSAA, 2xSSAA, 4xSSAA (which is the recommended value in order to have better graphic on my pc?)
Anisotropic Filtering: I tried 1X, 2X, 8X (which is the better value that my pc can manage in your opinion?)
Nothing else is changed from the default...
I also tried with lower settings:
Internal Resolution: Native (640x528)
Anti-Aliasing: i tried None
Anisotropic Filtering: 1X,
But the issue is present in any case... it seems that it doesn't depend on setting on the Enhancements tab...and I foudn this issue in all the 3 games that i tried (Zelda skyward Sword, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Donkey Kong Country return). 3 different type of games...it's really strange. Sometimes the freezes are longer than 1 second!
I could try on the new laptop of my brother. Here its specs:
CPU: i5 8250U 1.8Ghz - 3.4Ghz in turbo boost, 4 core, 8 threads
Motherboard: DELL 0DRPKR (Chipset: Intel Kaby Lake-U + iHDCP 2.2 Premium PCH)
GPU: AMD Radeon R7 M465 4GB GDDR5
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz
SDD: 256 GB
O.S: Windows 10 64bit
Do you think that this laptop can run Dolphin with some effects activated? For example Resolution 3x, Antialiasing: 2xSSAA and Anisotropic Filtering: 4X? I coudl try if Dolphin works well in this pc with sames isos game...?
thanks!
Try the laptop. Also, maybe don't go fullscreen and see if it eases the grpahical glitches any.
ok, i'm focusing on 2 games: donkey kong country and tatsunoko vs capcom. I enabled Compile Shaders Before Starting and Async Ubershaders and I uncked the Full Screen.
If I use Resolution 3x, Anti Aliasing=2X and Anisotropic filter: 2X
- Tatsunoko vs Capcom: no graphical glithes, I think that it was the full screen option the guilty of this! If I uncheck it and the game start in a small window, no graphical glitches. Then i can enlarge the screen and graphical glitches don't appear. Speaking about freezes, it seems they are disappeared. Only if i select Anti-Aliasing=4X there are slowdown (from 60 to 30/40 fps) during special moves.
I also tried with every enhancements at its best: Antialiasing 8XSSAA and Anysotropic filter=16X The game has some slowdown and i checked that the bottleneck isn't the CPU (only at 20%) but the GPU that is at 100%!!!!
- Donkey Kong: same as above, more or less. In Donkey Kong freezes are still present only in some points, but fewer than before. I ckeched the pc peformance and it sure that some freezez/slowdonw appear whn GPU is at 100%! I have to buy a mini-atx, so i think that an i5 8600 is enough in order to play Dolphin at its best. And i would like to buy this GPU:

Currently i have a GTX 970, do you think that the new GPU is enough in order to use Dolphin with best settings?
Well, obviously you'll see some slowdown with AA anf AF maxed. Also, don't buy a new GPU yet! Wait for amonth or two, because NVIDIA is soon to be rolling out their new GTX 1100 series. It'll be much faster than current technology, so definitely hold off for a bit and see what happens.
yes i know, but freezes/slowdown appears even with without maximum settings..
Yes i know that new GPU nvidia will be released but my new mini-itx is only for play all emulators from etr-console until ps2/dreamcast/Wii/Wii U generation- For this reason i don't want to spend a lot of money for a GPU, i think that a GTX 1060 could be enogh for my scope, are you agree? Do you think that with this GPU i can run Dolphin at its best performance?
I tried on laptop of my brother: with minum settings (native resolution, no antialiasing, anisotropic 1x) the 2 games work well, but in donkey kong there are SAME slowdown in SAME situations/point as in my pc!!!! It's really strange! It seems that it is an issue of the emulator..? I will try a different iso file...
In the paltop if i only pushg resolution to 1080p, withiout any effects, the GPU isn't able to run the 2 games perfectly, there are heavy slowdown in some situations, but the CPU is only at 20/30%. It's the GPU that is not enough powerful... I didn't know that this emulator required a powerful GPU.
A GTX1060 coulb be enough in you opinion if i want to run with every effect at maximum (or at least at 4X)?
Was the original game disc scratched? Try ripping again...
Unfortunately i don't have yet the game, I stil have few Wii games

But for sure the reason isn't the iso image because i tried others games and almost every game has this issue in some point
I'm checking the CPU/GPU performance during a game session, with 1080p, 4xSSAA and Anysotropic 2X on my pc (cpu 4690K overclocked to 4.2Ghz, GPU GTX 970 G1 Gaming):
1) sometimes there are slowdows ant ussually in these cases the GPU for a moment is at 90/95%
2) during the freezes the CPU and GPU aren't stressed at all! They are both at 20/30%, so freezez for sure arent't linked to the CPU/GPU performance i think
I think that in my new mini-itx an i5 8600 could be enough because also my current CPU is enough. I'm not sure if it could be better to buy a GTX 1060 mini or a GTX 1070 mini...probably the 1060 is enough...i can push enhancements up without performance issues...are you agree?
I'd rather buy an 1150.
Anyways, are you running the latest development build of Dolphin? This may be an issue with older versions. Also, do you edit your ISO files in any way? (the best example I can give is Wii Scrubber)
