Hey everyone!

Just wondering how many Nvidia Shield owners frequent these forums.

I’ve been lurking awhile, but with the lack of a donation feature to the Dolphin-devs, I thought participation and helping them fill out their wiki with Nvidia Shield compatibility and settings would be helpful.

Just out of curiosity... generally, how are other Shield owners finding Dolphin on their machine? (configurations differences/suggestions etc)

Cheers!

Another shield owner here.  I'm having the same issue, as well, with Wii games now.   By the way, I love the new Oreo launcher channels, though!
Hi both!

Good news thanks to another user here (lightz39)!

Current workaround is to ensure your official Wii remotes are connected to your dolphin bar BEFORE starting you wii games, then as soon as you start the game button-mash on the Wii remote abit for a few seconds and it’ll load.

I can’t explain why this works, but last night I was able to get into Wii games approx 90% of the time.
Confirmed there is an issue. It seems to occur if more Wiimotes are enabled than actually connected. Make sure you disable all controllers that are not actively in use.
When I select nunchuck extension in Wii controller settings, it defaults back to none. This is with 5.0-8512 build.
I'm getting on really well thank you. In Mario Kart Wii Time Trials (with Vulkan and Emulated Speed set to 30%) getting full 60fps on 720p.

Bless! I’m not at home right now, but the emulation setting for emu-speed, that’s under ‘config’ right?

I hadn’t even considered playing around with that... how does the feature work?

I think they actually mean the Emulated CPU Clock Speed setting. Setting the actual emulation speed to 30% would just make the game unable to run faster than 30% of full speed.
