Hello guys,

I'm new in the forum and in the emulation. I just get my new Oneplus 6 cell phone and it's a pleasure to play RE4 or Zelda on it. Since my GameCube broke, my boxes took the dust.
I'm also a noob about emulation and you can add that i'm french and it's not easy everytime to understand what setting do.

I wanted to know if there are some specific and default settings to use with my OnePlus 6 to maximize games optimisation or if we have to do different settings game by game.
For exemple, my RE4 and Zelda runs well, but Spider-man 2 is impossible to play, or King Kong and Lord of the rings : The return of the king get slow motion at moments... Have you get any solutions about it or it's juste the game ?
And if it's settings to change, what settings influence optimisation ? I don't care to play with 30 fps.

And i have to thanks developers, you really do great work, and thanks to you i don't have to repair my console.

Thank you in advance and have a good day. Rolleyes

You can Play both games 30 FPS with Default Dolphin-Emu Settings OnePlus 6 Latest Android 8.1.x
You don't really need to touch anything, just set your touch button or bluetooth controller.

The only problem is Device will probably get heat, and kick you out of emulation,
meaning risking to damage your phone.. I'm not recommending you to play games OP6 at the moment..

Thanks for the answer !

Do you think that one day it will be safe to use Dolphin with op6 ?
Device thermal management doesn't magically get better in its own.

Anyways, dolphin won't damage your device. That person has no idea what they're talking about. It will just run dolphin slow

You are wrong again helios, Dolphin-Emu will damage your device and other emulators will damage your device if u continue to push thermal throttle into SOC CPU,
This is basics, also Oneplus didn't apply thermal paste on CPU, they add only heat sink for unknowing reasons, this is one of the main reasons OnePlus 6 get heated.
This guy ask for Oneplus6 we are talking about Oneplus6 not for Android Phones generally..

I'm a PC technician and you are just a developer step the ball..
No offense.

I don't know buddy, some claiming Oneplus6 running perfect Dolphin-Emu
I'm have done plenty of test & running games OP6 Dolphin-Emu

Device Get Heated in 15 mins dangerously, you can feel it in your hands.. getting burned when you hold the device.
Tes dolphin-emu will running slow after device get heating the temperatures will increased each minute..
Sometimes emulator crash, some not.

Again, Don't push the Device with Wii/GC/PS2 Emulators.
it is safe & Tested for PSX1/PSP/N64/DreamCast,DBA,DS,
Are you sure that it really can damage the phone? Have you seen or heard of one that has gotten damaged by running emulators, or are you just speculating based on how hot the phone gets?

I think you mean "heat" rather than "thermal throttle", because the more throttling you have, the smaller the risk of overheating is...
Why would it damage the device. As far as I know a phones software should prevent any damage to the phone by heat. It will start to trothle first and if it's gets above the temperature limit it can safely operate on, it will tell you that it's going to work slower, dim the display etc. And if it really gets to hot it will shut down. Meanwhile the phone shouldn't be damaged.

I cannot tell you for sure if Oneplus 6 Phone get damaged cause of emulation,
I don't know about other Android phones.
I'm just saying to not run Dolphin-Emu long therm since CPU get thermal Shock

Yes I'm just Speculating on my personal test for this specific phone.. No one knows how you can push the Snapdragon 845, this is new in the market.
Your phone will get damage if you push it in long therm heat.
The first think will get damage is CPU, after that is probably battery cause of power consumption and then your screen cause of heat.

That CPU is 10-nanometer its too small, Usually bigger AMD/Intel CPU silicon chip can handle 80C but in long therm usage chip get damage.
I have seen cases in my own eyes CPU Mounting Needles stuck in Motherboard socket cause of CPU heating.

OFC we are talking about a different technology here, I don't have the knowledge to confirm anything,
I'm just saying do not push that phone with thermal shock and that shock is happening with Dolphin-Emu at the moment.

And one other emulator PS2 That I cannot spell the name.

I have push the CPU to 62C in Oneplus 6, owners of OP6 can do that test but you will see you cannot even hold the phone in barely hands.

Also I can do a video to proof that, but whats the point?

We have one guy here who wanna play Dolphin-Emu in Android Phone OP6.
Can anyone recommending him to play games on that Phone?
I'm not taking the responsibility : )

Nobody is asking you to take responsibility. The CPU won't heat up to the point of breaking the device, lol. It's going to throttle long before that. Unless your claiming phones have no thermal management.
