Why that emulator initialize almost perfect the Vulkan API

Also I left Dolphin-Emu 1 Hour Open with Vulkan-API Zelda - Twilight Princess (Start screen Link running Infinitely with Epona )
The graphics are broken ofc, black boxes ETC.. but no Thermal at all.. 41-44c which is pretty fine for 1 hour usage..

Same Test Dolphin-Emu 1 Hour Open with OpenGL-API Zelda - Twilight Princess (Start screen Link running Infinitely with Epona )
Dolphin-Emu Crash after 25mins test cause of thermal throttling..

Dolphin-Emu on Android Big Grin its a Perfect Dream for me

Again, it's not really useful comparing performance or power use for situations that clearly don't render correctly. It may be that it's broken in a way that reduces GPU load significantly, or even causes higher load than correct rendering would.

Tests like that can cause you do draw misleading conclusions.

Yeap I know about that..
Someone with SP 835 or SP 845 with working Vulkan drivers can clarify thermal throttler on Dolphin-Emu Android

you updated vulkan drivers with the app vulkan api ?, and to what version did you update ?, thanks
His post was misleading, you can't update your Vulkan drivers.

You can only update your version of Android to the latest of whatever your manufacturer has released for your phone and maybe it'll have newer drivers
Based on my experience so far, android P’s drivers (at least for google devices) do not play well with dolphin’s Vulkan renderer (OpenGL is relatively unchanged). I would not expect immediate improvement, because as of right now my experience has actually been downgraded due to seemingly even more buggy drivers.

So I noticed version 5.0-8474 has "FramebufferManager: Use D24S8 on Adreno when using Vulkan". This patch makes Adreno on Vulkan run a 24-bit buffer instead of 32-bit.

Using a Nokia 8 with the latest updates, I tried Smash Bros. Melee (PAL) and Metroid Prime (PAL), and the improvement is insane. The games run at a nearly perfect framerate whereas before Metroid Prime would be about 8-11 fps in the intro scene. Melee is also very smooth now, with only a drop to 42 fps on the heaviest 4-player fights. I've played Melee for 20 minutes straight, and it just keeps going.

Moreover, the black boxes on Super Mario Sunshine while running on Vulkan have disappeared. Performance improvement on this game is minimal, but from what I've read this game is a nasty one to emulate. And when pressing Z in Metroid Prime, no map appears on the screen. But hey, as far as I know this is easily one of the biggest performance improvements for Android users this year. For those who like Dolphin on Android and have a Snapdragon-based device, this is definitely a version to try.

FYI to whom it may concern: Nokia 8 has support for Vulkan 1.0.61 at the moment.

what configuration did you use ?, because I have a mi6 835sd, 540 adreno, with you same version of vulkan and the emulator is slow

I set it up without clock speed and the games run at 30fps. The games that I have tried successfully are:
-hulk / vulkan
-metroid prime / vulkan
-prince of persia sands of time / vulkan
- jedi outcast / vulkan
-star fox adventures / vulkan
-super mario strikers / vulkan
-zelda t.p / vulkan / hyrule hack
-mario sunshine / vulkan / video hack
-kart kart / opengl
Thank you very much to the programmers

This test is on Xiaomi Mi 6? [So.. Vulkan Drivers working on this phone..]

I have a request pretty please, can you do a simple test.. if you want ofc!!

Play one of this titles for 30-40 mins with bluetooth Controller connected if possible...
(cause bluetooth: On increase device temperatures when you are using Emulators..

After 40 mins gameplay check CPU & SOC Temperatures and post the accurate results..

I prefer Zelda TP for test. Thanks anyway.

If you don't have bluetooth controller its ok.
