Just got started on my new build and was hoping to save a little money on the GPU until I have more money to throw at it. So my question is does anyone know how well the GT 730 handles 720p or 1080p without any enhancements? The build is:
Intel i3-8100 3.6GHz quad core
Gigabyte - H310M S2H LGA1151 MoBo
G. Skill Ripjaw V series (2x4GB)
EVGA 500 watt PSU
I'm cheap, I know but for the time being I don't need a whole lot of GPU grunt because I don't play many PC games but the ones I do are usually 15+ years old so not very demanding. My first choice of GPU was the GT 1030 but a 730 is half the price and I'd like to hold off until I can get a GTX 1050. Thanks in advance.
the GT 730 sucks. Pretty sure current gen intel iGPUs are faster than it.
Accordingly to GameDebate, your iGPU (Intel UHD 630) is actually 34% faster than the GT 730. So, either wait and get the GTX 1050 directly (preferably the Ti version) or get the GT 1030 now and upgrade to something else later...
