Alright, small update it seems. For some reason, any version before 4.0 works. 3.0 and 3.5 allow me to get past the menus like it should. 4-4.02 just don't work at all, controls aren't working whatsoever. And trying 5.0 is now telling me that any emulated, connected wiimote instantly disconnects, and pressing a button connects it for a fraction of a second.

EDIT: Well apparently the problem may have been in the config, because I deleted all the config folder (I didn't have anything to save so it was fine) and now it works. So, yay I suppose. Sorry for this bump in any case.

Well... as long as it's fixed, I suppose, glad you were able to figure it out. It's always good to bump in case someone else has teh same issue and stumbles upon your thread.
