I want to get a new PC that's compatible for Dolphin. I have narrowed my choices down to 2 types.

The first type is a Dell - XPS Desktop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - 1TB Hard Drive

Windows 10 operating system

Windows 10 brings back the Start Menu from Windows 7 and introduces new features, like the Edge Web browser that lets you markup Web pages on your screen. Learn more ›

7th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-7700 processor
Powerful quad-core, eight-way processing performance. Intel Turbo Boost Technology delivers dynamic extra power when you need it, while increasing energy efficiency when you don't.

16GB system memory for intense multitasking and gaming
Reams of high-bandwidth DDR4 RAM to smoothly run your graphics-heavy PC games and video-editing applications, as well as numerous programs and browser tabs all at once.

DVD/CD burner
Reads and writes to a variety of media formats, including DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW and CD-R/RW.

1TB hard drive for ample file storage space
Holds a significant collection of digital photos, music, HD videos and DVD-quality movies. Intel Optane Memory is designed to reduce performance bottlenecks and accelerate hard disk drives (HDD).

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics
Driven by 4GB GDDR5 dedicated video memory to quickly render high-quality images for videos and games.

Built-in media reader for simple photo transfer
Supports SD, SDHC and SDXC memory card formats.

1 SuperSpeed 10Gbs USB 3.1 port
Ultra-fast data connections to transfer large files rapidly.

7 USB 3.0 ports maximize the latest high-speed devices
Also includes 2 USB 2.0 ports to connect more accessories and peripherals. The USB 3.0 ports are backward-compatible with USB 2.0 devices (at 2.0 speeds).

Next-generation wireless connectivity
Connects to your network or hotspots on all current Wi-Fi standards. Connect to a Wireless-AC router for speed nearly 3x faster than Wireless-N. Gigabit LAN port also plugs into wired networks.

My second choice is Dell - Inspiron Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 1800X - 16GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 580 - 1TB Hard Drive + 256GB Solid State Drive

What games are you planning to play? So far, both of them should do the job nicely.
The Intel/Nvidia combo has a better CPU which is good for Dolphin. The AMD combo has a better GPU which is better for traditional PC games, and a SSD which is better for using the computer.

At the price point that those are selling for on Dell (or technically their newer equivalents), you could instead build your own that it stronger than either: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fRVspG
-Intel i7-8700K
-Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
-2TB hard drive
-500 GB SSD M.2
-16 GB RAM
-DVD/Blue-Ray Read/write
-Windows 10 Pro
-$1400, but you could downgrade a few things to cut costs (like getting an i5-8600K instead)

Paper Mario TTYD, Super Paper Mario, and Legend Of Zelda WW, TWP, and maybe Skyward Sword!

The Intel/Nvidia costs $1,080 and the Ryzen/Radeon costs $1,150
Here's a cut down version (no overclocking, different motherboard, smaller SSD): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gYbNzY
-i7-8700
-Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
-240 GB SSD M.2
-2 TB HDD
-16 GB RAM
-DVD/BR Read/Write
-Windows 10 pro
-$1247, pus $40 back in rebates, final of $1208

This is easily a better option, especially for that price. You could probably save even more with a 8600. If OP doesn’t care about controlling his/her update schedule you could shave another 50 off with windows 10 home edition (i’m not necessarily advocating for that, I use pro myself, but it definitely isn’t worth it for everyone). That would get the price of the build down to equal or less the pre built, without giving up anything.
I didn't want to go down to the i5-8600 because the options Supahead79 was looking at all had 8 core with hyper-threading, so I wanted to at least that. But if they wanted to save like $90 they could go to the i5-8600 and still have 6 cores.
There are still savings to had if they wait a little bit for RAM and GPU prices to keep going down, plus with the new Nvidia line maybe coming out soon, even more savings. Or going down to a 1050 Ti or equivalent AMD card.

I would do that, but I don't know anything about putting a PC together
You first might want to figure out how to quote a post, and not put your reply inside the quote Tongue (hint: your stuff goes after the
part)

As for building your own computer, its super easy. It's just like expensive LEGOs, everything just slots in to where it's supposed to go. If you're having to force it, that's not where it goes. There are some guides and Youtube videos you could watch to get confidence, or disassemble an old tower you may have lying around. Then you can brag to all your friends that you build your own computer and that they need to join you in the PC master race
