There's also that, not sure if it would help dolphin tho, I'm not that familiar how things are implemented right now up on the buildbot.

However some people are saying GitLab knew some inside info and was preparing to capitalize on the fallout, because the hashtags and "movetogitlab" PR stuff was found to be posted on various sites somewhat earlier than the official news broke, and GitLab also is making the move from MS Azure services to Google's was started recently, not complete yet. But google is just another giant if people are concerned with MS.

So they're saying why people not rather flock to BitBucket. But I don't know much about this landscape, I'll have to look it up.
I also don't get all the FUD. Their official announcements states GitHub will remain operating independently, the only change so far is the change of the CEO (something GitHub on it's own was trying to do for some months, actually)...
As far as I can tell, MS won't change much in the public space. The private repositories and enterprise offerings may be what they intend on utilizing or manipulating the most. Attempting to find the article where they talk specifically about that and not touching whatever else is going on...

Regardless, I highly doubt Dophin will be negatively impacted by these events and this is a non-issue. In the odd chance MS has lost its mind, migration tools are readily available.
