I know some other emulators have something called 'high priority thread' which can be enabled in the settings. Afaik this allows the app to use the SoC without it lowering clocks. I also notice this phenomenon on a SD625 and SD821, so it's not just Samsung.
This would be a nice feature for (Android) Dolphin, but I'm honestly just as curious about
PR 6954 (
OGL/Streambuffer: Use coherent mapping by default) I hope it gets merged soon to compare some games.
Sounds intresting as well! Just really hope that anyone in the DEV team takes the time to look at an option like that "high priority thread."
A good example of audio stutter with and without an CPU burner running in the background.
Twilight princess with CPU burner OFF

Twilight princess sound without CPU Burner ON
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jg8MczvTO04&feature=youtu.be
The actual fps and smoothnes of the gameplay is actually barely different but the audio has a lot of crackling and microstutters when the burner is off. Unfortunatly running a CPU burner is not the best solution for this problem since it's disabled by the phone quite quickly. Would there be any other solution?
