And infinity display. The S Pen is not a wow factor I know but it helps bring productivity when I need it. And also water proof.

Dolphin is just one of the deciding factors.
If you want just a gaming phone with not much features I understand oneplus or xiomi would be great choice.

Yeah, that's not really what I was referring to, more *gaming* phones, with 120hz screens (which can't be driven at that frequency), and "water cooling" (which takes the heat... where?). And at the end of the day is "just another" sd835, functionally identical to the reference design.

I don't know really how gaming phone can be defined. There isn't much games for Android.

I think you maybe right with your assumtion thought. Those phones gaming wise are not worth 1000 dollars at all.

I am really waiting for snapdragon gpu that can give dolphin constant 60 fps.

It'll still be game dependent for a pretty long time - even the latest desktop CPUs can't guarantee full speed on some games that require expensive emulation settings.
Sooo if Huawei decides to release an update to my phone p9 lite 2017 with this buffer thingy will I get better framerates in games?

I currently have the buffer not supported, update your driver bla bla message and run the gc version of resident evil 4 with 10-23 fps depending on how big an area in the game is, will I get 30+ fps with this buffer thingy?

Cause this warning message gives me the impression that I lose half the fps because I don't have this buffer thingy xD

I heard talk that my phone will get the Oreo upgrade soon so that's my best hope for now since it will probably one of the large updates I get if not the last.
I have the phone 3 months and I got a few updates but none fixed the buffer warning or added Vulcan, they seem to be security patches and some new features that ain't related to emulation.

One last thing is this buffer thingy related to Vulcan?
I also don't have Vulcan and I think a update could add this to my phone so I'm praying to get this as well.
If anyone here knows where to contact Huawei pls tell them to add this buffer thingy and Vulcan to p9 lite 2017
Vulkan isn't too good on android for Dolphin iirc, you should be using opengl. Buffer Storage would improve performance on your device, but you might face other problems relating to performance and graphics with ARM GPUs and I wouldn't expect it to magically be constant 30fps for a game like RE4.
The funny thing is resident evil 0,1 and 4 run quite fast for me while having this buffer warning.
BUT resident evil 2 which looks way worse runs in slow motion, code Veronica has graphical glitches and slow motion (ok this game ain't looking bad but it's not 0,1 or 4) and I will test re 3 next which I expect to run in slow motion.
Basically everything that looks like million bucks runs fast while the retro games run very slow when you would expect the opposite.

Offtopic but I plan to test the Wii version of re4, should I expect the same speed as the GameCube version?
I just don't want to download 4gb for no reason...

Downloading games is against the Forum Rules. I can't ban you because there's no evidence that you have downloaded anything already, but we don't condone piracy. So don't even think about it. If you want to test the Wii version, buy it, then dump/rip it yourself.
Currently still without EXT_buffer_storage vulkan actually runs quite a bit better than OpenGL. The intoscreen from windwaker goes from an avrage 5FPS to 15FPS. Still not playable but better than nothing. (Galaxy s9 exynos 9810)

You could waste the same time to help with my question but no you had to do the typical hypocrite "pairaceisbadhuhudumpurroms"

It's twice as funny when I see stuff like this in emulation related places and even more funny/puke inducing when said places don't warn members who for example say "don't pirate this rom, but hey the rom's md5 is this or google *insert rom name here* to find the rom you want"

I guess I will just download the rom and test myself before I throw up, ty for the help and pls don't arrest me and the billion others who downloaded a rom in their life.
Or no-intro and redump and all the other rom preservation projects they are innocent!
