That's a bit misleading though, you can by no means directly compare two different CPU's by clock speed only. There are many more factors to consider!
Because otherwise if you compare them like that my laptop which runs dolphin just fine would be slower at 2.2Ghz than his note 8..

Note 8: CPU Exynos 2.3 GHz
If I do my math correctly, that is about factor 3.1, assuming your Note 8 is able to run at 2.3 GHz all the time without thermal throttling
indeed, that by the way every time I boot dolphin in my note 8. The 8 cores I have configured to run at full speed, if the terminal heats up ... but for me it is not a problem. At a higher temperature will not burn The main function of the arm processors is that they do not need refrigeration since they can withstand the processor temperature. They can run at maximum 40 or 45, the x86 are already 50 temperatures and with a heat sink ... imagine removing the heat sink. heat to an x86 and we'll see how much the temperature goes up ...

but your pc has the latest available drivers for your gpu .. in Android that's what fails. Simply that it gives to that the manufacturer of shift wants to make the update or happens of the subject and there is remains
That's correct but I think you misunderstood my second sentence. I'm saying that if we're going to do the math like that my laptop should not be able to run dolphin which is not true.
listen ya'll these are android users desperately trying to justify their $1,000 USD phones after the fact. They won't listen to anything lmfao.
Which is probably why they're unwaveringly optimistic after years of phone vendors punching them in the face.
Let em waste their money.

People are willing to market a "gaming" phone - that's just another qcomm snapdragon - and more crazily, people seem to be buying it.
Hope is already lost.

Some 1000 dollars phones are really good.
Sure they are over priced but I like samsung USA For using snapdragon and I like Note phones. Its why I got Note 8.
Samsung korea needs fo fix their exynos thought.
I am sure they will rise when they do that, I heard Exynos drains battery heavily on the S9 Due to bad exynos prossesor.
They are good, but only for the things they are designed to do. And emulating games is not one of them. I had hoped that vulkan would partialy change that but unfortunatly that doens't seem the case.
the exynos soc indeed has it's issues, I've bought it myself and must say that daily usage is barely affected by it. The phone feels fast and battery is ok. It could probably be better (And I've opended quite some support cases to make it happen, altough I doubt it will change anything) It's definitely not as bad as many people think.

Yes, some $1000 phones are pretty good. Pretty much exactly the same as the $500 phone with the same SoC.

Not really. I buy the Note for S Pen and edge features.
And infinity display. The S Pen is not a wow factor I know but it helps bring productivity when I need it. And also water proof.
Dolphin is just one of the deciding factors.
If you want just a gaming phone with not much features I understand oneplus or xiomi would be great choice.
