[color=#ec008c]Why Wii Party?[/color]

I consider Wii Party to be the best game to play with people who rarely ever played video games before. Seeing your own Mii compete against the others is a great incentive to be competitive and since Wii Party's skill ceiling is even lower than Mario Party's, discouraging dominations shouldn't happen at all.
Also it's fairly easy to play when you're a bit drunk already.

• All textures are hand-crafted and UI elements are (almost) exclusively remade as vector graphics. No upscaling algorithms (so far) with geometric artifacts or jittery lines.
• Only original content. All textures, except for the original fonts, are explicitly remade for this project so it doesn't depend on agreements with people. People are unreliable.
• Remade textures are not pixel-perfect, sometimes due to the ridiculously low resolution of the original textures which makes it difficult to distinguish details, in other instances the tech just isn't there yet (aka I'm not a professional artist and this is my first time working with vector graphics).
• Started on January 30th of 2018

1. Download the corresponding texture pack for the resolution you selected in Dolphin (Graphics > Enhancements > Internal Resolution). Note that the PNG variants are of much better quality but the DDS variants work best on already stressed out hardware. I'd honestly never recommend the DDS textures, the color banding on them is pretty bad.
2. Extract the ZIP's content to Documents > Dolphin Emulator > Load > Textures > [color=#ff7373]GAME_ID[/color]. The [color=#ff7373]GAME_ID[/color] should be "SUPE01", "SUPP01" or "SUPJ01" depending on the region.
3. If RAM isn't too scarce on your system, enable "Prefetch Custom Textures" (Graphics > Advanced). In that case Dolphin will already prepare the custom textures when you launch Wii Party instead of waiting for them to be requested.

Since studying is usually very time-consuming and many of the missing textures are way beyond my abilities, I'd appreciate any help you can offer. Just stick to the following simple rules and you're good to go:

• Try to imitate the original style so it's still Wii Party.
• Do not create extremely detailed remakes of textures. Try to find a balance between detail and style. The low polygon count of Wii games doesn't get along that well with hyper-realistic textures.
• UI elements must be remade as vector graphics, whereas other textures don't need to be. If you are recreating any textures, you must also provide the full project file in a common format. The project file must not include any artwork from the original game by Nintendo.
• All results must be completely original. Not a single vector node may be originating from a third party.

Yeah, I agree with Psycho - the font feels a tidbit off; but apart from that it looks great!
Also, for a first-timer, this looks pretty professional; from the retexturing to the thread
You forgot to mention this game deserves the love because it has the best stupid announcer ever

I couldn't agree more. The font and texts were by far the most time-consuming (and disgusting) parts of the whole process and they're also the least satisfying. In the beginning I searched for the font/a similar one but obviously wasn't successful so I had to recreate the letters manually. I've ended up with something that looks kind of like the original one, but doesn't really hold up that well on closer investigation.
Thank you so much for giving me a lead, I'll see what I can find and perhaps rework the font again. After all, I consider it to be the most important texture.

Hi, it's me again. Just wanna say that I just said FOT-New Rodin out of assumption. I just looked at the Captial R in one the screenshots and thought "Yup, that's not A-OTF Shin Go Pro" (Another Japanese font Nintendo likes to use). I want to reconfirm that it is indeed FOT-New Rodin. https://imgur.com/i3iGxEZ If you're struggling to find it, I'll give you a DL. From all the screenshots I've seen here, it appears to be the only font used but if theirs another font used somewhere else in the game lemme know and i'll take a look. This is awesome, I love Wii party! It's definitely up there on my top 5 favorite Wii games. I'm glad it's finally getting the attention it deserves and needs. Since it's one of the lesser sought out titles, I never thought it would. these vector remakes are amazingly spot on! Are you sure your not from Nintendo?   Thank you for your contribution. Hopefully when I get a little better at making vectors, I can try and contribute.



And I agree that the font needs to be switched out. It's just not the same level of upscaled nostalgia without the original fonts. It's amazing Psycho was able to find the original font, i wonder where?

I paid for the official fonts. I have every public Japanese font. Nintendo loves using fonts made my Fontworks. And New Rodin is one of them.

• With Psycho's help I was able to remake all previously touched texts again. They should now resemble the original look much better than before.
• Remade parts of Board Game Island. The start area is now almost done. I tried to somehow match the original style. If those bushes don't feel right, I'd appreciate ideas for a better version since the original pixel mess doesn't really work out on high-resolution displays.
• Added some new symbols that could appear in texts, such as on the Minigame Screen.
• Recreated some textures of models appearing on the title screen. Look at the 4K broom your Miis now use to keep everything tidy and clean!
• Other misc. fixes.

Well, yeah, the bushes still look kinda shitty but less shitty (and I don't think you can actually make them non-shitty). In-game it was fine.
However, I'm not sure you updated the links for the DDS files, because using those only some textures were in HD, dunno why... with PNG it was fine.

The DDS downloads should work now, somehow parts of the archive (e.g. texts) got lost when I uploaded it to MEGA. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
