I'm sure you've all heard of these developers. They are very controversial.

But at the same time every developer I see has been absolutely baffled at how they managed to emulate the PS2 on android. Though their app isn't as advanced nor as playable as android Dolphin people still ask how this random chinese developer came out of nowhere and produced what would take a large online community years to make, if they even consider making it as the PS2 is hardest console to emulate.

Most reddit calls them thieves and scammers who stole lots of code from PCSX2 and PPSSPP, and that they're ruining the community which is based on open source and free software.

They seem to promise all kinds of things on their facebook page, that their emulator will run PS2 games at great speeds in the coming months and will be able to play 90% of games.

Considering forum users here have said that we'll have to wait a couple years for the Snapdragon 855 till android Dolphin can become really playable, how credible is the DamonPS2 claim?

As for what to say about DamonPS2, PCSX2 did a great deal of analysis before they issued their DMCA takedown of DamonPS2 (which DamonPS2 apparently dodged, ugh). Please read their statement, the evidence is pretty damning.

Or because what DamonPS2 is doing is illegal and unfair...
they sell their emulator thats why its illegal, other than that i think its a good idea to dock ps2 on android
You can sell software which has GPL components, but you still have to release the source code. That's the only problem here. DamonPS2 used code from PCSX2 and released binaries, but PCSX2's GPL licence says you can only release binaries using their code if you also release your source code.

In general, it's not illegal to sell an emulator. The issue with DamonPS2 is that it uses code from PCSX2 and PPSSPP. The licenses for PCSX2 and PPSSPP say that if you take and modify their code, and release a binary file (an Android app in this case) you must publicly share those changes. Essentially, we should have access to DamonPS2's code, but they have kept it closed-source. That's the part that makes what they're doing illegal.
Has it been shown that they're using code from PPSSPP? I was only aware of them using PCSX2 code.

Why would they be jealous? If they were trying to make a PS2 emulator for android and couldn't I'd understand, but they were never actually interested in android and didn't give a damn about it (much like the dolphin emulator guys). So they have no reason to be jealous.

I tried it. Their user interface is virtually identical to PPSSPP's.
