Hi!

I'd like to know if there is any known fix for this glitch, which seems similar to the ones we had on the PC version... But no matter what I do with Disable Fog or Ignore Format Changes, this glitch won't go away on Android!

Thank You!

If "Ignore Format Changes" is deselected, this rect should be blue. But we overwrite this config with a game ini, so you need to fake a local game ini to overwrite it. The global config has no effect.

But it seems like the compute shader doesn't work right. Has there been any shader compiler warnings / errors?

I had the INI with that config already set, and it doesn't change anything... The only thing that seems to affect it, but in a minor way, is activating Disable Fog, which just makes this rectangle even darker (edit: actually makes it become BLURRIER)...

No, I don't have any warnings or errors...

Edit: Actually, even though the difference is small, when disabling the Ignore Format Changes through INI, the rectangle seems to have the shadows of the objects on screen.... When I turn on Disable Fog, it becomes the same as if Ignore Format Changes was on (with Disable Fog on), it kind of becomes blurrier...
Finally managed to activate the gecko code to make the game run full speed at 30 fps and noticed that the trophy scene doesn't have the rectangle at the corner... maybe this could be helpful?

Edit: Other specific circuits don't have the rectangle, too.. Like Coconut Mall and DK Summit....
Edit2: Grumble Volcano is bug-free, too...

what's the code?
For anyone entering this thread looking for the code: Just create a INI named RMCE01.ini on gamesettings folder and add this line:

[ActionReplay]
$30fps
004250D4 00000002
0029FD69 00000002

[ActionReplay_Enabled]
$30fps

And that's it, only work for NTSC-U version...

Now back on topic: I was wondering if this effect that's glitching could be pinpointed somehow and deactivated perhaps via gecko code?
worked for me. thx.
FrangoST, I'm looking for more FPS codes. Can you tell me how you got this?
How about instead of worrying about how to disable the effect, you put your blame on the drivers for not accurately implementing the features within the API.

That blame is already there. I'm looking for a workaround... Sorry if that's not allowed...
