Depends on the games you want to play. Most lightweight games should be fine, but probably not the more demanding games.

Keep everything at default...
e.g. delete the Dolphin Emulator directory from My Documents or put a portable.txt in the same folder as your dophin.exe.
Dolphin is by default set up to run most games at the fastest speed possible without breaking anything (at least gameplay related) in game.

If you dont mind play at x1 resolution level then you will play games.
