my current ram is 4GB would it make a difference on dolphin if i upgrade my ram to 8GB?
Only if you're running lots of programs in the background or if you want to prefetch custom texture packs that don't fit in 2 GiB of RAM. If you're using Dolphin normally, it doesn't really matter.
