I guess the Development section would be the place to go.
Please do remember that every game interprets the gyroscope differently (eg. Settings that work TLZ:SS won't necessarily work for Wii Sports Resort or Red Steel 2), this is also one of the reasons why it never really took off.
Starting a discussion about it is not enough though, so unless you are a developer/programmer willing to put time in and make PR's and maintain the implementation/make bugfixes there is no use of doing that because it already has been discussed to death.

This is a statement about emulated motion controls?
I was hoping the joycon gyroscopes could be used just as they were in the wiimotes...
Well anyway, rip my fun. I'm going to be just using the originally intended controllers until joycons (hopefully) have a more official place in dolphin to be fully functioning wiimote alternatives or a remake comes for SS on the switch.
Tried original controller with wiimotion+ and nunchuck which didn't work... The game said the nunchuck needed to be connected...
baby steps, baby steps

It does that for me too. Try unplugging and reinserting the Nunchuk once or twice.
Is this still relevant 4 years later? Or is it obsolete ?
I mean, should I be able to play LoZ:SS decently using joycons using current versions of Dolphin and BetterJoy?

The information in this topic is obsolete. You can run Skyward Sword fine with JoyCons nowadays.
I do have to ask you to not bump topics this old, though. Please create a new topic instead if you have further questions.
