I reinstalled the official release of Dolphin 5.0 on my fresh Windows 10 copy and all my Wii and Wii.Ware Games in the libary are missing their thumbnails all of the sudden.
Addionally when I try to start them the screen stays black until I either quit the emulator via task manager or wait about 20 seconds until Dolphin crashes (Dolphin.exe has stopped working...)
I already checked the ISOs partitions for any errors but everything seems okay. The same ISOs worked fine for many months now...
What irritates me is that the gamecube games are displayed and working completely flawless...
what can I do to find the error?
Have you tried the latest dev build of dolphin?

Yes, version 5.0-6208 and the only difference between these two versions is that when I start a Wii game in the dev build Dolphin crashes immediately...
This sounds like a problem with your computer. google how to run an sfc scan.
Are you trying to use D3D, opengl, or vulkan sa your graphics backend?
What is your Wii Remote settings set to?

I did the sfc scan but it didn't find any errors. Also I am using mainly Direct3D 11, but all the other graphic-apis do not solve the problem either.

I always used a real wiimote with usb sensor bar, changing now to emulated wiimote does not change anything...

Have you created save files for the games? If you haven't, they'll show up like that.

I am not sure, how do I check?

Right-click on the game in the game list. If "Open Wii save folder" is grayed out, you don't have a save file.

It IS greyed out... so what do I do about it?
