You need to reverse engineer the engine enough to be able to figure out what instructions need to be modified to change the behaviour.
It is likely very complicated, and would likely require significant skills in both reverse engineering methods, to figure out how it currently works, and game engine development, to figure out how to change it to alter the current behavior.

Probably not without significant effort - during which you'll probably learn all the skills. Plus, not even knowing where to start implies it may not be a good "learning" project either for your current level - few people lean to swim by leaping into the middle of the ocean.
