So where does that leave me, then?

Update: After trying with the development version one more time, the game (while still giving the same error) loaded up the save with the cheats enabled. The buildings are in place. The only issue now is that the game is severely slowed down: I tried closing it out and reopening but it's still horribly laggy. But I'm able to play with some settings now hopefully to speed it back up

(Hopefully) Final update: The game just doesn't like running more than one code. Seeing as most codes work as a one-time unlock, this isn't an issue at all, and the saves transferred back to version 5.0 after applying the cheats without breaking the game. Thank you to everyone who helped!
