If the audio also acts up during the stutter, its an actual problem stutter which I can only assume is what's happening to you.

Yes, it is the actual stutters I am addressing, not the ones for dramatic effect. While standing still or running in circles with no enemies around it would persist every 16~18 seconds like clockwork, depending on the settings. The only setting that caused this even on a machine as powerful as mine was the gecko widescreen hack/code/patch/whatever. I played some more today in 4:3 and there was no abnormal stutter whatsoever. Thank you guys for bouncing ideas around that lead to me figuring this out. Hopefully, barring insufficient specs, this works for everyone else as well.

Hey, sorry I’m a few years late, but I thought I should post this for anyone else having the issue. My game was doing the exact same thing described here while using the 16:9 Widescreen gecko from the wiki and my solution was to switch from Isiiruka Dolphin to the newest official Dolphin build (5.0-12247 currently). I’m not sure if you were using Isiiruka or not, but as soon as I switched to Dolphin 5.0, I no longer had the stutters while using the widescreen code. Hope this helps someone Tongue
