Yea, the FPS drops in front of certain NPCs dramatically. When I enter the menu for one of the merchants, the fps drops and stays at a whopping 4 fps.

Nobody is having these problems? I feel pretty hopeless at this point.
I had this problem on R4205, but now I use R4246 and all those random slowdowns and shops slowdowns are gone.

The only slowdowns that still happens are when I make the map appear.
Then the fps goes from ~55 to ~45.

Is it possible for a Quick Level up or 8x the Exp gained memory patch?
okay guys. i got the us version today and i'Ve got minor issues...cannot even call them issues.

anyone got huge black boxes instead of the swords using rev4261?

p.s.: got newest directx9 (september)

o2jamboi

i found a trick to speed up this game! haha xD
i just unchecked the "LLE DSP on thread"
on config -> general tab -> advance settings

You would also need to disable the sounds...
Then after opening the game.. u would need to load the game using the load state. Try it out urself!

i get mostly 40-60 FPS!

my specs:
pentium D 2 cores
nvidia 8500 GT
1.5mb ram

* when playing, close your navigation map... it gives speed boost!
Hey guys, I also have a performance related question.

On my modest system the game runs at around 60 FPS most of the time, except some scenes as pointed out by other fellows, in which it drops down to 54ish region.

Here are some samples. Please click the on the thumbnails to see what I say.

Without enemy it hovers at around 58-60 (optimal)

With enemy it's around 53-55

My setup is:
C2D 3Ghz
2GB of ram
9600GT

I know that VGA almost plays no part emulating this game, as it's 2D, and what's important is CPU.

Looking at this picture, you'll see that both cores were at 100% load whilst the game was at sub-optimal performance (54FPS).

My question is, does the game run better with higher speed CPU?

I'd like to hear from folks with 3.6-4.0 Ghz (or higher) Dual Core CPUs (preferably C2D not Pentium Dual Core), if higher CPU speed really helps, since I already have a plan to upgrade my CPU to something faster (atleast 3.6Ghz (OCed of course)), and knowing that it will also help improve this game's performance is one of my decision factors.

EDIT:
o2jamboi, yes, disabling sound definitely improve performance and I was able to reach 60FPS, but it also definitely ruins the experience as for me, sound is really important.

BTW, at first I thought it's the emulator's bug or something that cause this slow down, but seeing the performance improvement makes me believe that the game "may" run better with higher speed CPU, as my current CPU was always at 100% playing this game with sound. By disabling sound, the CPU has less load and I'm able to achieve 60FPS.
Plays Flawless on my system 60 constant so far. strange, this game plays great but TVC Plays like trash.

Regvac

It runs fullspeed at all times for me with a Q6600@3.6GHZ.

Sorry, I'm slightly new to all of this, and can't read ANY Japanese. Can someone make a little "How to" thing for downloading this? Sorry for the inconvenience. Oh, and where is the English version?
