Hey everyone! im new here and i must say freaking kudos to the devs for this its crazy! thank you all for doing this!
i wanted to ask tho.. when im playing it, itll play smooth and nice and such. as im playing itll start to slow down out of no where and i cant make it go back up to speed like how it was originally. example: im playing super smash melee and the first 2 to 3 rounds would be smooth and nice, little stutter here and there but nothing annoying. next thing you know the audio starts to stutter a lot and it just starts to lag as well. its so weird and i have zero idea why and how it happens. my question is how can i maintain the gameplay to be smooth since when i first started it?
Thank you anyone who comes to help me

Sounds like your SoC is thermally throttling. Odd, because I'd figure the SD 835 would be decent enough to at least not throttle. But, it is what it is.

ooo so basically this means the phones insides are starting to get to hot, so the system chip switches to less powerful components to help the phone function still. but since its using less powerful versions the emulator wont run as smooth since its using crappier resources to function? so all i have to do really is to just let the phone "cool down" and itll be good as new again?
edit: im new at this lol. sorry for sounding like a noob
About 80% there.
The phone is just lowering the clock speed of the CPU and/or GPU to keep thermals in check.
But yes pretty much.
tbh mobile devices just aren't a very good fit for Dolphin but it compiles and some games play so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

got you ok thank you so much. i thought this was a RAM issue or just something i was doing . finally i see an answer to this situation, thank you again.
Some manufactures have low limits for temperature, is very probrable that Samsung have this, it's a way to save power and keep the device cool. If you want high performance you'll need a custom kernel and ROM.

A big part of the issue is Samsung’s design ethos.. They implement an obscenely low thermal ceiling. Other S835 devices can maintain most of their original performance.
There is a chance they do this on purpose. The device must run on full speed for the common running time of benchmarks. Afterwards, everyone looks on the battery time on full load. By reducing the performance after a few minutes, they optimize their design for those stupid benchmarks.
Welcome to throttling. Where no devices perform like the specs tells.
I think there is a mix between teermal and battery life when manufactures set the levels. And obviously the lack of proper cooling.
Lol, my old Galaxy SII gets 50-60ºC easily, I couldn't play PPSSPP and GTA games because after few minutes that started to hurt my hands, and now they set low thermal limits to their phones. I don't think Snapragon 835 can get as hot as Exynos 4210, they improved the thermal performance over the years.
