Okay yeah you don't need the advanced UI to do that.
in the normal controller config window, click the X button. Bind it to the controller button you want.
Then, click the left trigger button, bind it to the same controller button. It'll work just fine.

Is it possible to have those 2 buttons the same,
And have a separate button those 2 buttons together?
Keep X and Left Trigger to the original buttons, and have a seperate button, that is unused, to have the same function as if I did what you said?

Yes. If you want to map buttons this way:
X on the physical controller -> X
LT on the physical controller -> L
Y on the physical controller -> X and L at the same time
Then set up Dolphin like this:
X: `Button X` | `Button Y`
L: `Trigger L` | `Button Y`
(the button names are probably different if you aren't using an Xinput controller)
