I wanted to play Donkey Kong Country Returns with a friend since wiimotes are enabled again in Netplay.
But as soon as we start the game it shows the message "wiimote 2 has been disconnected by emulated software".
I think this is because on the Wii when you start a singleplayer game wiimotes 2-4 turn off and you have to turn them back on after selecting two player mode.
We already tried alt+f5 to reconnect but that just seems to disconnect the wiimote of player 1.
Does anyone have an idea how to reconnect the second wiimote or how to keep the game from disconnecting it?
alt-f6 should be player 2

Got to try it today and it doesnt seem to work alt+f6 does nothing, maybe because for player two the wiimote 2 is wiimote 1 in settings? but cant change that in netplay, so still have the problem
It sounds like the Wii Remotes aren't set up correctly. With the way Wii Remote netplay works right now, both players must have Wii Remotes 1 and 2 configured.
So do we have to configure both the same way? So i have the controls of my friends remot 1 as remote 2 and the other way around?

Also if i disconnect my wiiremote 1 via alt+f5 i can't reconnect it
Edit: Also tried with configuring my wiimote for both as wiimote 1 and my friends wiimote as wiimote 2 but that didn't work either.
Edit 2: I may have found the issue we were using the build 5.0-3071 and i read in the patchnotes for build 5.0-4968 that they fixed the reconnect issue there because reconnecting remotes worked through the UI of dolphin in earlier version so it didn't sync in netplay.
The problem is if we use any newer version than 5.0-3071 the game won't start in netplay it only gives us a black screen, even if we use the exact same settings as we did in 5.0-3071
which version of dolphin can use wiimote to play wii game? I am new to dolphin emulator which using vers 5.0, and it cant connect wiimote once netplay start.. and i cant control it with gc control in wii game... help...

Update to the latest development version. Then you'll get the best implementation of Wii Remote netplay this far, but beware, best doesn't necessarily mean good
Well it isn't that hard after you have done it once but I still don't know why my Wii games wont launch on netplay in the latest versions :/

that just happened to me and i'm not really sure what fixed it but try right clicking the game in dolphin, open wii save folder, remove everything inside.
and make sure every setting everywhere is replicated, also refer to this
guide, i don't have the black screen on latest versions anymore but remote 2 gets disconnected still.
i just found out about the alt+f6 thing, but my friend got tired from trying for now so i'll have to try later.
for the sake of making this helpful for later searches, i'll update my comment if it works.
