That said, Vulkan brings all of the benefits of D3D12 and none of the downsides, you should really just be using that in the latest dev builds!

The one benefit of Direct3D 12 that Vulkan doesn't have is its stability. I still have problems with Xenoblade Chronicles crashing on Vulkan which never happened on Direct 3D 12.
D3D12 does not have stability. It was prone to crashing whenever it wanted, which was one of the reasons why we removed it. If you have crashes in Vulkan, report it so stenzek can fix it.
