Does anyone know how to load a wii save on netplay? I would like to do this on Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga, but I don't know much about save files with Dolphin.
I saw this video which shows it's possible
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL4aeLGQN-I.
Turn on the "Load Wii Save" setting in the netplay hosting window.

I tried that, what is the directory that I should put the wii save we want to use in? Also should the save be a .sav file or a .s01 file?
Neither - it's the save on the NAND.

How do I edit the save on the NAND?

If it's a data.bin file, use Dolphin's Tools > Import Wii Save function instead of putting it anywhere manually. If it's a collection of loose files (at least two files, with one of the files being called banner.bin), right-click on the game in Dolphin's game list and pick Open Wii Save Folder to go to the folder where you need to put the files.

No. Those are savestates rather than regular saves, and you can't use them for this.

Awesome, thank you so much. I'll try this when my friend and I are both available.

Wait where can I get the regular save file? All I have are save states.

Okay, using the export all wii saves button, I have made a bunch of data.bin files. However I don't know which one is for Lego Star Wars, and I don't know if it contains the save data on my savestate. If I put the correct one in the game's save folder and check Write save/SD data and Load Wii Save, will it automatically save and load data each time we play?

If you want to export the save for a certain game, right-click on that game and select Export Wii Save.

If you want to find out what data it contains, start the game without loading any savestate.

Yes. (But remember, data.bin files aren't supposed to be put in the save folder directly, they're supposed to be imported using Dolphin's import function.)
