I'd guess the only ones keeping consistent updates would be Google and OnePlus if they do get treble on the OP5 which seems very likely..

And this is very optimistic as well. At least I wasn't told that they support differnt versions of the userspace and kernel space driver. All of the missing features are within the user space, but without also updating the kernel driver, they need some kind of stable API, which they lack right now.
So in the end, they are likely just going to hotpatch security bugs. As each device has its custom kernel, this won't be done per SoC, but per device...

That's mostly on Qualcomm and similar companies. Dolphin works fine on good hardware with correctly implemented drivers, and they need to make good enough hardware and actually implement its drivers correctly.
