Also, if you are setting "Skip EFB Access from CPU", you are disabling the heat blur effect, which gets rid of the slowdown but you lose the original look.

What CPU do you have?
What graphics back-end are you using?

Thanks.

Im using Vulkan on the Master branch, never used Ishiiruka. My cpu is in my sig and no i do not set "Skip EFB Access from CPU".
Your high-end system, with the help of Vulkan is allowing you to power through it. Judging from the dolphin benchmarks, your computer can run dolphin almost 50% faster than mine plus whatever help Vulkan offers.
Congratulations.

I'm inquiring about this feature to help those of us here with sub $1000 computers.
I run it just fine on my 4.0 ghz g3258 system.
Hi, Helios.

The issue is a bit narrow, I recognize. It's specific to the Sand Ocean track with the heat blur effect active. If you can run that stage at 60FPS with heat blur, perhaps you are using Vulkan, which runs quite slowly with my AMD card.

PS: after not trying Vulkan for a while, I gave it a spin and it runs the game full speed for me. I guess things have improved! However, there is still value to pursue this hack if it doesn't introduce new bugs.
Thanks for prompting to check.
We're not introducing that hack, sorry.

I wish I could edit the subject of the thread.  It's not really "fast EFB access" we're talking about anymore but "non-blocking CPU EFB access".  See here.
All you have to do is edit your 1st post in the thread (Full Edit, not Quick Edit). I took the liberty of changing it for you though.

Silly me.  I thought only the subject of individual posts could be changed.
Thank you.
