It's clearly 100% that you've never played the game before. When you make a quick save between castles, you get a red balloon on your save file. When you reset and choose the game, balloon flies away, meaning you need to do a quick save again. If you won't do it, you'll be back at the castle (no balloon on save file).
PLAY THE GAME ON WII FIRST, DAMN!
I've played the game and when I try to do a quick save (in world 1-2 with 7 lives) it ask mes to do the save game but then sometimes the game starts from the begining (5 lives world 1-1)
Some times it works and other times it begings from the start.
I meant Dolphin save states, not the save feature in the game itself. Works fine for me (well, it did crash once but still).

Save states are not 100% working still

How are they not working? I haven't seen anything that would suggest they don't work during my play (except for the one crash, but there have been dozens of successful saves)
Savestates on nsbw are tricky to use.
savestate on worldmap -> can be load from everywhere
savestate on minigame -> can mostly only be loaded from within other minigames or levels
Btw:
I managed to get to "mini-bowser" (World 4-Airship) and defeated him by just wall-jumping

Mario just throws these stupid propeller-blocks away instead of using them

yup, propeller blocks dont work for me there either ... stange enough there WERE propeller blocks in another level somewhere and those worked so i have no idea why the airship propeller blocks dont work and the other ones did..

Weird, propeller blocks work just fine with me, using keyboard, are you letting go of button 1 when you grab em?
and thats the proper use for savestates, other then that they work perfectly
Im already in the jungle lvl
