Yes, that could be better. I changed many months/years ago based on recommendations on this forum.
Dont know if every setting is on .ini now, i guess they are. But never had problem reaching 60fps. Just now with ubershaders.

Except for fast depth. Turning that off can actually lead to more accuracy problems in some cases.
Really? I didn't know that.
It say it uses a less accurate algorithm, how is that better?

The description is out of date as far as I know. Armada did a lot of work with improving fast depth the last 2 years or so.

Ah okay, makes sense. Guess I need to be in the project's development to know what's going on.
I know this is totally the wrong section to ask but, what would you recommend needs to be done on dolphin currently, as in like, if I was to help out. I already have some knowledge in scripting and programming, of course I'm using Linux too so, what would I need to develop on it, and what language is needed most currently?
Thanks
The biggest thing I can think of now Ubershaders exist is finally finishing DolphinQt (potentially by starting it again from scratch). This is an effort that's been started several times to port Dolphin from using the somewhat outdated and unfriendly WxWidgets GUI library to a more modern alternative, Qt (pronounced Cute, not Cutey, even though it clearly says Cutey, but now I'm just having a personal rant, so ignore the contents of these brackets). This should have several benefits, such as making it easier to add settings to the GUI and making it possible to create a TV-mode where all the icons are bigger and you can select your game and change your settings with a gamepad. Dolphin and Qt are both written in C++ and most projects use Qt directly. However, there are alternatives which may be easier and more upgradableĀ once some groundwork has been done. QML is a markup language allowing Qt GUIs to be created more easily than they would be via C++, but someone has to bother integrating QML with Dolphin to make using it possible.
I'm sure there are a zillion other things that could be done by someone who knew what they were doing, though.
If you open the Qt UI binary you'll see that Qt is almost complete.
Well, that's good news. I've not looked for a while, I suppose.
I disabled ubershaders for now.
Using vulkan and hybrid on nsmb, the intro&logo screen when the characters are running, fps goes down to 20. There is any kind of shader processing on that part? Then the game was stable at 60.
But I never seen a speed decrease on that part and never seen any stutter in the intro screen. So, obviously without ubershaders runs at 60fps.
I mean this part
