Hi, this is my first post here and I'm having some issues.

First, I'm a bit confused on one item. My computer doesn't have Bluetooth built in. Do I need a separate Bluetooth adapter/dongle to make the Wiimotes work with the Dolphin Bar?

I just ordered one from Amazon, but if I don't need one, I have a few hours to cancel the order.

Secondly, I'm having issues getting everything set up.

When I first synced the Wiimote (real one) to the Dolphin Bar, the mouse cursor moved on the screen which was a good first step, but now after messing with it due to the error I was getting, I can't get that to happen any more.

When the Dolphin Bar is in mode one, there are 4 different Mayflash Wii Dolphin Bar game controllers listed in my game controllers but when it is in mode 4, none are listed.

Windows finds the device in mode 4 because I saw it give me the message that it found it, but I don't see the 4 entries under game controllers.

In Dolphin, I get a message saying "A supported Bluetooth device could not be found. You must manually connect your Wiimotes." I have audio off and continuous scanning on.

I don't know what to do.

I updated to the latest firmware successfully as a first step and have been searching this topic for a few hours now but none of the suggestions I found seem to work for me.

I'd really appreciate some help here.

Thanks in advance,

Ok, so I've messed around with it more and plugged it in directly to a new USB port instead of my hub which it was plugged into before.

It found the device on mode 4 and I can once again move the mouse cursor while in mode 4 with the Wii Remote, but it still doesn't show the 4 game controllers (I only have 2 remotes) like it does in mode one and two. Modes three and four don't show up under game controllers but do show up in devices and printers with a picture of a keyboard and again, the cursor works while in mode 4.

I have no clue what to do now or where to turn.
No matter how many times I delete the device and reinstall it, it always sets up mode 4 as a keyboard/mouse instead of a game controller. I think that's my problem but I don't know how to get it to set it as a game controller instead of a keyboard/mouse.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I've installed the drivers from the disk and it still sees the Dolphin bar as a keyboard instead of game controller. However, even on mode 4, even with it seeing it as a keyboard, the mouse cursor moves on the screen. Is this good enough or is my problem with the bluetooth device not being recognized because the Dolphin bar mode 4 isn't seen as a game controller?

Thanks,

The DolphinBar has Bluetooth built-in, and you don't need a separate adapter.

In what place are you looking at listed game controllers? I don't think the Wii Remotes are supposed to be showing up as game controllers in Windows in mode 4.

I'm looking in Devices & Printers.  In modes 1 and 2 it shows up as a game controller and under USB Game controllers there are 4 entries.  In modes 3 and 4 it shows up as a keyboard/mouse and under USB Game controllers there are no entries.

I read somewhere that it should show up as a game controller in mode 4 while I was searching for the bluetooth device not found error.

I'm able to move the mouse cursor with the Wiimote but Dolphin can't seem to find the Wiimote and gives me the bluetooth device not found error message.

If they don't need to show up as game controllers in mode 4, that's fine, but then where would I look for an answer to the actual problem which is the bluetooth device not found and Wiimotes not being recognized or working?

Thanks,

Should Windows 10 be seeing the Dolphin Bar as a Bluetooth device? I don't have Bluetooth or an option to enable it anywhere in Windows.

If it's proprietary and isn't supposed to be shown as a Bluetooth device in Windows, that's fine, but I'm just not sure.

Trying to figure out why Dolphin isn't seeing the Wiimotes at all??
I've fooled with this all night and all day and am still turning up empty.

I'd greatly appreciate some advice on what to try next.

Thanks so much,

Did I post this in the right section? I haven't gotten any responses yet and really need some help. Is there anything I can do differently to better my chances of getting some help with this?
Yeah, this section is appropriate. I suppose that there simply hasn't been anyone who knows the answer to your questions who has seen this topic yet.
