it was better when there was no sound at all, but at least it's progress
SMG has more sounds now, you can hear music and sound effects.
But for the moment the sound is not correct.

And on The legend of zelda WW we hear sounds when link walking.

tested on R3600
Now to just get AFC sound working somewhat correctly. Big Grin

Anyone know what kind of sound format Zelda Windwaker and Twilight Princess use for the music? I notice that Super Mario Galaxy has music with the PCM16 sounds commit but the Zelda games still lack music, so I am interested to know what different kind of music format these Zelda games use aside from Mario Galaxy?

Also some games such as Mario Sunshine still lack any kind of sound despite the recent improvements, so I presume some digging is still needing to be done to uncover the different formats then work on emulating them somewhat decently.

Any plans for these discoveries to be submitted for a proper update to YAGD after all is said and done?

huge mess of wiki pages, yeah. I'm talking about a nice linear documentation Smile
A new documentation would be nice, but probably be time consuming to rewrite the documentation from scratch. Just updating the existing YAGD and making some corrections would be more efficiently and quickly done.

For giggles and comparison I want to download the last official build of Dolphin and say, "Yep, this is what Dolphin used to be like back when I was a young lad in the olden days". Tongue
well seeing everything is in flux right now. I dont think its the best time to do something like that. however I just got word that the audio in Z:WW is working. I have to rebuild and test Tongue
Awesome, music and sound in the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess. No music on the title screen, but there is menu music and sound is improved overall now albeit as ector said still a bit crappy.. Big Grin

Baby, Dolphin is getting somewhere now!! Big Grin

:Edit: Can the hackish music mod be obliterated from the svn now? It serves absolutely no purpose now that Dolphin is on the road to proper dsp emulation and significant progress is finally being made. It just serves as unnecessary bloat in the repository, and could possibly cause problems later on..

I agree, the sln can't even be built without VC++2008 Pro Undecided
