Thanks, the first post might be newer than that beta post. I've been working on other stuff so have forgotten.
Could you report the freeze to the xpack thread? I think they are supposed to work together...
Hello !
I also have the same freeze issue as reported just before.
My first idea was to think it was hd textures or expansion pack related then i reported my issue here :
https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-xenoblade-chronicles-hd-texture-pack-v8-4-october-13-2017?pid=467872#pid467872
I'm using both hd textures pack and expansion pack with 60 fps gecko, I had issues at some points like Saltol Marsh, Frontier Village or Valaak Mountain.
All those have been resolved by updating the expansion pack to the last february build (thanks to Rickv123).
Then it went smooth from Valaak Mountain to Mechonis central factory without a single freeze.
Now that i've reached Agniratha its happening again, only engaging specific ennemies.
I've tried to run differents isos, meaning one with only hd texture and the other with both hd + expansion and it keeps happening.
I'm pretty sure its 60fps gecko related because it doesn't happen when i disable it.
As recommended i'am currently using dolphin 5.0-4894 x64 on windows 10.
My CPU is intel core i5 4670k@3.40ghz and GPU nvidia gtx 980ti.
Dolphin settings 1
Dolphin settings 2
Performance while fighting in other areas
I've tried different dolphin builds from 5.0-4894 x64 to 5.0-6392 x64, lowered my IR to 4x with no AA and filtering.
Also tried all recommanded tips/seetings by One More Try.
Hi, thanks for the report! It sounds like it could be a 60fps mod freeze. I never actually got that far into the game to test for bugs though. I don't actually have a save for that area, if someone wants to upload a saved game (not savestate) for me to check.
Also what characters are you using? Unless you tried with two different teams.
Hi ! (Sorry if my english is bad)
I use you're Gecko code with the HD texture, I can play but if fps are < 50 (Loading for example), audio crack and it's unbearable
My configuration :

Even in low / without you're code, audio is same
How can I fix it please ? :/
EDIT : I found a "fix", try to decrease CPU clock setting, 125-150% it's ok !

Thanks for updates and fixes, your
60FPS Code Patcher is almost perfect at least to my machine.
I have test it personally,
60hours Gameplay.
CPU Override 115% sometimes slowing down battles to
HALF Rate 30-45 FPS
with
125-139% game is stable to 60FPS but audio crackles little cause Override breaks emulation.
Override 115% + 60-FPS Patcher game runs 85% FPS in Battle
Override 125% + 60-FPS Patcher game runs 90% FPS in Battle
Override 139% + 60-FPS Patcher game runs 99% FPS in Battle
I haven't test yet the Distance Patches or Bloom IR Patches or Modified Xenoblade Extension HD ISO
oldest test bring Shuttering and Freeze problems with Bloom IR/Distance Codes.
I believe Emulation Shuttering happening cause of Xenoblade Shaders, in future Dolphin releases problem will be solve 100% with ubershaders
I've been having an issue that just popped up randomly where my character's movement speed is cut in half when running at full tilt, as well as while jumping when using this 60 FPS patch. I tried playing around with some settings after the fact but the thing is that it seemingly wasn't caused by any change in settings, as the bug started happening randomly. It was working fine at first, then one day this issue just popped up.
Any idea what could be causing it?

half running meaning animations running its like slow motion?
this usually is the cause of dolphin cpu override, if you go higher than 139%
try to decrease little the cpu override little.

Actually no, the animation speed is normal. But the actual speed my characters move at is halved.
The running speed of enemies is also unaffected.
What this means is some gaps can't be jumped over because my characters move too slow.

OK cool go to your gecko codes and check if you have two code patches 60 fps
maybe you enable 2 different fps pathes at the same time so game bugged..
if not.. delete the xenoblade game settings file & paste from the start 60fps patch code
make. sure you have only this enable

I just tried that but it didn't work.
I also tried deleting my save file and re-copying my Wii U save file just in case but that didn't help.
I should mention that I'm playing a PAL version of the game but it was working perfectly before. Something just happened that's making my characters move really slow.
