Okay, new idea. Can you try making an input recording? input recordings trigger a lot of the same things as netplay while running, if the slowdown is there too, we may have an actual bug to hunt

The input recording plays back at 60 fps. One thing I noticed in the playback was the lag counter jumped from 157 to 413 at the title screen. Should I send the .dtm file?

nope, I need to actually try this on netplay now.
