I'm starting to think it's less a problem with Dolphin, and maybe something going on with the computer or HDD

I recently checked to see if there were any corruptions on one of the hard drives, and it came out okay. All other games work fine. I'm stumped at what to do next.

It could be a permission issue with dolphin. I guess you can try running it as administrator?

Running it as administrator doesn't work either.

EDIT: After getting the error again and stopping the game, the game window is still up, frozen. The main Dolphin window isn't frozen, but won't close. I have no idea what's going on.

I tried the latest version of Dolphin again with disc transfer rate enabled, and it works! The version I tried earlier (which was the latest version at that time) seems to have broken the game, but it's now fixed again.
