The fork you mentioned using (Dolphin VR) deliberately took away all references to it being a fork because the creator is a jerk. It's a long story, but to give you a bit of a TL-DR - he tried to put political stuff into Dolphin, made a huuuuge scene when no one was happy with this, was blocked from the repository for being hostile during the discussion, and then made yet another huge scene here on the forums saying dolphin was "hijacked", and when the discussion didn't go his way he insulted a recently deceased beloved dolphin dev. He has been banned here, in the repository, and everywhere else we can possibly block him. He's an awful person, and please, do not use his fork.

Perhaps you mean "Dolphin version 5.0" instead of "Dolphin VR 5.0". Regardless... it's a bit of a sore spot here. But beyond that, we have a rule against providing support to forks due to how complex support becomes when a fork can do *anything*. So maybe this is all a big misunderstanding, but regardless, please make sure you are using a build of Dolphin from our site.

Anyway, please do as envisaged0ne said and post a screenshot of the About window. That will clear things up!

It basically means a version of Dolphin that wasn't created by us.

oh XD I mean I am on dolphin version 5.0..... I didn't know you guys would get mixed up by that ;-; vr is short for version right???

No, it isn't.

Not to mention that Dolphin VR is illegal (due to a license incompatibility) as far as we know.

well fuck me and my english. I guess I am fucked now... Back to my wii I guess
Btw, you shouldn't have made a separate thread, it's made this all rather confusing. Sooooooo...

*waves her magic moderator wand*

And merged! Sure it will be a little confusing, but at least we aren't jumping about confusing. And thankfully quotes can help figure out what was where.

*sigh* Show us a screenshot of the About page to settle once and for all what version you are using.

there ya go
let me just explain some of the slow down issues I have been having in this game... So I am in opengl as suggested, when I hop on a goomba it lags and the framerate drops. Then in chapter one when I need to flip the bridge it really slows down. I cannot seem to get a steady framrate and it is driving my ocd mad crazy.
Under Windows, change your power settings to High Performance. In your NVidia Control Panel, set the Manage 3D Settings > Power management mode to Prefer Maximum Performance.

In Dolphin, try enabling / disabling Dual Core. Under the graphic options, try enabling Store EFB to Texture Only. And of course, make sure you're using the OpenGL backend
