Hello, all. I'm completely new to gc/wii emulation as a whole, but nonetheless managed to rip the iso image of Twilight Princess for the wii. (I bought the disk to do so, although I do not own the system. Call me altruistic...)
Anyway, when I try to run the game, I immediately receive "Dolphin.exe has stopped working", and the program closes.

I hope these are all of the system specifications you need:
Windows Vista Home Premium
Dell Inspiron 1545
x64-based
Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T6500 @ 2.10GHz, 2100Mhz, 2 Cores, 2 Log...
4GB RAM
8GB Virtual Memory

If there's anything else you need to know (and if I understand what you ask- I am the truest of noobs), I'll be happy to supply it.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Oh, and I'm not sure whether this is important or not, but it might be worth mentioning that the banner doesn't display either. I understand this is fairly normal for Wii games on Dolphin, but I see it is shown with a banner on the list of compatible titles on this site.

Thanks again!

the banner not showing is normal Smile (it'll stay like that until you make a save in the game Tongue), also what config do you have?

Hmm... Well, I'm not sure which config settings are relevant, but to hazard a guess I've got dual core enabled (obviously), as well as idle skipping. My graphics are set to OpenGL, DSP is set to the HLE plugin... Which configs am I looking for in particular?

hmm, i noticed that you didn't mention your graphics card Undecided
Ah. Well, if that's an issue, it may well be the root of all this... How difficult is it to get one's hands on a better graphics card, though? Anyway, I thought the gfx requisites for Dolphin were relatively low?

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but what I'm seeing is this:

Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family.

I'm not sure that that is the graphics card exactly, but if it is it doesn't sound too promising...

If that is indeed the problem, what sort of graphics card would you recommend for running Dolphin?

Thanks again!
Oh, and just incidentally (if I've given you enough info to say), how capable is my computer -by its other numbers- of running Dolphin? Any idea what kind of speed I'd get?
Use D3D plugin ( Intel don't make good grfx cards )

Also check "Use panic handlers" , Then you will be able to see the error messages
Okay, thank you very much for the help. Only trouble is, I don't seem to HAVE this D3D plugin you describe... Any idea why that might be / where I might be missing it?
update direct x
Hmm. Okay, so I suppose it's fairly clear that OpenGL vs. D3D is the problem here. However, when I attempt to switch to D3D, IT ISN'T THERE!! So, would anyone have any idea how I might go about acquiring that particular plugin, or should I just reinstall Dolphin and see if it pops up on its own?
