I currently have a little problem with SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab (GameCube Edition). When it goes to the Memory Card Check, it says "Save failed," then telling me to press B. I do so, then it stays on the Memory Card Check screen with no prompts whatsoever. A temporary solution I found was to just remove the Memory Card, but I want to play the game without having to remove the Memory Card every time. I would be very appreciative for a solution to my problem.

Were you using save states? This might be a game that using save states with screws up normal saving

No, it happens when the game boots up.
