Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

I could save much more by going with an i3 dual core since dolphin is dual core. Would there be any benefit to buying quad core?

You'll probably see a small increase getting a quad, but I don't remember how much (~10%?)

Thanks for the link, it was helpful.  If I'm just using this build for dolphin and ps2 emulation, doesnt seem like its worth it to get anything higher than an i3, saw an i3-7320 4.1 ghz for $144. 

Does anyone know if there's any plan for later updates if dolphin to require a quad core processor?

Confused about which processor would run dolphin better, i3 7320(4.1ghz) or i5 6600(3.3ghz) ?
