Do you really think I'm purposely trying to mislead people...? I'm showing my experience with the Galaxy S8 running Dolphin, nothing more. If me putting "FULL SPEED" in the title or suggesting to buy this phone to play dolphin causes you problems, then my apologies...but I'm showing that it runs better than many believe due to all the Exynos S8 videos floating around with terrible framerates. My "tweaks" are nothing extensive, other than changing simple things such as the video backend from OpenGL to Vulkan..i didn't touch much else other than my own phones performance mode.
It's a simple showcase, that's it...maybe I should have said "very playable" rather full speed so people don't get upset?

Yes, actually. Words matter! You literally said this in the video description:
Cencil Wrote:I've tweaked with the settings in dolphin to the point where I can play all games 100% speed for hours on end.
How do you think people will read this? They'll start imagining playing games all the way through on their phone, get really excited, and then save up and spend an *enormous* amount of money to get the device! All just to be disappointed when they try real gameplay on it. Of course at that point they'll have already spent their money, so they'll complain to us wanting "optimizations" and other things we can't deliver in the hope that they'll get what they believed they were promised.
The S8 is really fast, but it has considerable limitations, and people need to know that!

Um..i'm confused here. Why would people be disappointed when I'm showing that this phone is indeed powerful enough to play many games at GREAT speeds when they do try real gameplay on it - like I said i've done for hours on end with no slowdowns.
Words indeed matter, but some people aren't as nit picky about being at constant 30fps vs 28-30fps. Does this video show any considerable slow downs? Nah. So far all these games can be played straight through with awesome framerates.
Try the phone yourself.
Dropping frames isn't really ideal performance.
Stop misleading users.

What are you going on about?
It's running amazingly. "Dropping frames" by 1-2fps isn't anything to cry about.
No one is being mislead but you here apparently, champ.
You literally stated "fullspeed on all games for hours on end", when the reality is that it is only a few games. A plain read of what you are showing and saying is that every game, not just the ones you tested, will be fullspeed at all times, which is directly false. And even the ones you demonstrated are only running fullspeed under circumstances like tweaking settings, dropping frames, running a light game, running in a light area, and ignoring thermal limits.
The only reason to use the wording you used was to mislead users: to drum up hype by presenting something that is conditional and complicated as something that always is.
If you do not wish to be misleading, please change your wording.
I care about UX.
If "running Dolphin full speed" means doing a bunch of nonsense modifications to thermal limits, having to change settings for every game, having to only play a small handful of easy to emulate games and the moderate games only being a solid 60 VPS in certain areas, this is not full speed to me, or anybody else. This is bad UX. This is not what I would call worth telling users to run out and buy a device for unless they want to develop on Dolphin for Android
The way I see it, the Snapdragon S8 is a solid dolphin development device if you want to get into that.
Aw, quit being a stick in the mud Helios.

The guy is just excited about the S8's dolphin performance potential. Though, I agree that we probably shouldn't expect too much. We'll need to see how it performs with heavier games like RE4.

The only thing i changed in the settings was open gl to vulcan. Man those are some serious tweaks. Thermal limit mods? Where did you get this from? Is twilight princess an easy to emulate game in your opinion..? Shall i show you my smooth fps in hyrule field? Cpu core speed was kept at 100%. This phone is outstanding and has no slowdowns for me, and to the average joe like myself this feels full speed and is fully playable, regardless of your silly nit picking of my wording.
Most people want playable and are not obsessive like yourself over minor framerate dips (that are barely noticible).
I still highly recommened this phone to anyone wanting to play gamecube games on their phone, sorry to burst your bubble.
Like i said, get the phone yourself and try it before you disagree. Nothing misleading here as much as you'd love to think otherwise. My vid shows no dramatic slowdowns in framerate, and all games i tested are fully playable. I will glady test more to prove the power of this phone.
Love the attitudes here lol!

Can you try some games like resident evil saga?
I am very impressed with the images, hope that we can play the games from beginning to the end.
