Good for him. He should buy a switch then. I understand the hardware and the temps aren't where they need to be for emulation. I also understand how ignored this emulator is on the android side. Now que in helios to say "you're more than welcome to help on the project rather than complain". Which is ironic considering all he does is complains about users on here all day long
Buy a switch. Problems solved. I'm done. Just wanted to give guys the info. Nintendo Switch will bring you guys the games you want in your hands, faster than this project ever will, and with REAL controllers and no bugs or attitude.. Peace.

Does he do that sometimes? Yes. "All day long"? No. And he does contribute to the project.

There is no proof that there will be GameCube Virtual Console games on the Switch, only old rumors! Please don't recommend a Switch as if it's guaranteed to be able to play GameCube games at some point in the future.

Remember the devs are working on this project for FREE. They do it because of their own personal passion for the Gamecube/Wii and the community. They do NOT owe us anything. The fact that they still continue to work on it despite the difficulties in android emulation, while dealing with ungrateful posters like yourself, is a testament to their own dedication.
If you don't feel like waiting for android hardware to catch-up with dolphin's requirements then by all means leave. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

GPD WIN with Intel Atom x7-z8700
Geekbench 4 64-bit Windows 10 home: STP:1107 (MTP:3281)
Samsung S8+ with Snapdragon 835
Geekbench 4 64-bit Android 7: STP:1915 (MTP:6106)
nVidia Shield Tablet with Tegra K1
Geekbench 4 64-bit Android 7: STP:1935 (MTP:3103)
for comparison reasons (all at stock speeds sorted by STP):
Intel Pentium G4600
Geekbench 4 64-bit Windows 10 pro: STP:4036 (MTP:7657)
Intel Core i7 4800mq (added since this is my personal laptop)
Geekbench 4 64-bit Windows 10 pro: STP:4091 (MTP:11641)
AMD Ryzen 5 1600x
Geekbench 4 64-bit Windows 10 pro: STP:4196 (MTP:17804)
AMD Ryzen 7 1800x
Geekbench 4 64-bit Windows 10 pro: STP:4738 (MTP:26418)
Intel Core i3 7350k
Geekbench 4 64-bit Windows 10 pro: STP:4775 (MTP:9197)
Intel Core i5 7600k
Geekbench 4 64-bit Windows 10 pro: STP:5459 (MTP:14708)
Intel Core i7 7700k
Geekbench 4 64-bit Windows 10 pro: STP:5853 (MTP:20076)
I know this isn't Dolphin, but it should give somewhat of a comparison.

Thanks. So 73% faster in Geekbench. The dolphin videos I've seen show them on par, so we still have a lot to catch up in the ARM side. But fun fact, the dolphin performance per IPC on ARM right now is better than x64 on dolphin 4.0. So we're not that much behind. But bad luck, the ARM instruction set offers some really nice instructions, but it's very hard to use them in a single-pass recompiler.
from lollipop to MM / nougat
mali drivers incorporate something called secure rendering maybe that cause texture bug.
idk im not dev but that is the noticiable change from lollipop to MM for mali drivers.
r1po,r5p0 are safe. i tested those drivers in lineage rom. MM comes witn r7p0 up r15 nougat that still have texture bug.

so...you are the great helios i hear a lot about ?
i have not intention to misunderstood your hard work in the community , am actually extremely new in the dolphin world , (5 day ago) but i cant understand why you hate the android community so much... i mean the galaxy s8 right now is the most powerful device to emulate games like resident evil 4 or need for speed carbon on the go , maybe is not perfect, but it is quite strong enough considering how compact is, i mean COME ON MAN , just look at this , if you considered re4 a "not demanding game" , maybe you know better that anyone that shinji mikami said that the re4 from gamecube was BY FAR the most graphic intense vertion he made

Don't mind Helios. He(correct me if I'm wrong) is just being his usual grouchy self.

Your S8's performance with RE4 is really encouraging. Thanks for taking the time to share the video.
